Hey! I'm Jodi Crawford - a mom to rambunctious boys, a wife to a nomad-at-heart, and the creative force behind Jodi Crawford Photography. I am so glad you found your way here.
I'm endlessly in love with photographs, deep connections, Mother Nature, my boys (including my husband), and our beloved and loyal golden retriever. I'm nostalgic to the core and have always believed in the power of a great photograph.
Photography was a mere hobby, until I became a mother. Suddenly, I felt this overwhelming need to freeze time - to preserve every fleeting phase and detail of my family's life. Watching my boys grow is the greatest joy of my life, but it is bittersweet. Time slips through my fingers as I struggle to hold it. From that struggle, a passion grew for my photography - a desire to document, capture, remember, savor and treasure.
I'm most at home in the wild, beautiful places - hiking, camping, paddleboarding, trail running, snowboarding. My camera is always within reach. I am in awe by the way we, as humans, exist within nature's beauty - and so I try to capture that story in photographs.
As a photographer, I quietly observe. I notice the subtle beauty, the fleeting glances, the laughter, the chaos, and the calm. My style is to tell your family's story through emotional photographs - not perfection, but capturing your family just as you are just being together.
I love to work with soulful, adventurous, earth-loving families who value presence over posing and want to preserve the honest, unfiltered magic of their stories.

Think skipping rocks, windblown hair, belly laughs, and barefoot exploring. I'm not here to make you look like something you are not - I'm here to capture the real stuff. The wild hugs, the quiet glances, the joy, the chaos, and the deep connection that makes your family yours.
When we are out in nature together, everything softens. The noise of hectic lives fades away. And in the great studio of Mother Nature, among the mountains, the trees, the wild flowers and the breeze, your family gets to just be. No expectations. Just love, laughter and real connection - in whatever form that takes.

Sipping chartreuse and green tea while looking at the most perfect white subway tile and hand painted signs. Driving through the mountains to Portland reminiscing about the best memories back home. Cozy sweaters, vintage demin, and Pabst while telling one of a kind love stories. The trials and tribulations of love, joy, and happiness. Lastly, champagne brunch and avocado toast while surrounded by the finest exposed brick, dreamcatchers, and maps to our souls. Dreamcatchers, macrame and 100 Days of Summer. Anthropologie trips and walks on the beach, love letters and secret admirers. Fall breeze, flannels, and hot cocoa. Whales and dinosaurs and handmade crafts. Salvage denim, antique leather bags, and the first time we watched Moonrise Kingdom.
