Let's start with what Adventure Family Photography is NOT! Adventure Family Photography does not take place in a stuffy studio, it does not involve a bunch of stiff posing and fake smiles. It will not feel awkward or stressful. Instead, Adventure Family Photography is a fun outing with your family where I capture your family's personality, the special moments you share and the excitement during exploration of the beautiful outdoors of the great Northwest! There will be rock skipping, hiking, boulder climbing, wading in the water, and lots of giggles. All the while, I will be capturing this phase of your family's journey, including your little's whispy curls, dimples, the baby teeth, the "in-between" moments and so much more.
Why do this kind of family photo session? I have learned through the years with my own boys, some of the most precious photographs, the ones I hang on the walls, are the ones that capture the essence of my boys.... They are exploring and creating and digging and running and building and wandering, not staring at a camera with a fake smile pasted on their faces. In fact, my rambunctious boys will hardly stand still long enough to look at a camera. It just is not in them, and many other kids are the same. That does not mean you cannot get a stunning family photograph for that Christmas card! Trust me to give you and your little ones a fun adventure with a beautiful gallery of images not only for your Christmas card but for that spot above your mantel!
What is Adventure Family Photography and is it for my family?
All you have to do is send me a message through my contact form on this website, or message me at jodicrawfordphotography@gmail.com or on Instagram @jodicrawfordphotography. We will get you on the calendar and pick out a beautiful NW adventure perfect for your family.
There has never been a better time than now to schedule a play date or hangout session with your family.
I would not be doing my job if I did not help you get ready for your session! Once you are booked, I will send you a questionnaire which will allow me to get to know your family and prepare for the session. You will also receive my custom-made Style Guide and access to an online personalized styling service that provides you links to clothing that matches your style and taste. It also will help you pair clothing items that are already hiding in your closets! Finally, I will send you a "What to bring" email before your session to get you ready.
Don't know what to wear to your photography session? Don't know what to bring to your photography session? Leave it to me!
The last thing I want you to do is lecture your children about being "good" for the photographer! You need to talk to your children, and YOURSELVES, about just enjoying this time with your family. That is your only job during the session! Leave the rest to me. Trust me, I will capture your family with authentic smiles and giggles. Let me worry about the rest.
Feeling sweaty about being in front of the camera? Worried your children are going to be wild? Anticipating that fight in the car on the way? I got you! Just have fun!
Within three weeks of your Adventure Family Photography Session, you will receive a link to your online gallery filled with images of your session. You can download all your images straight from you couch! You can also purchase canvases, metals and prints for your walls straight from my website. Don't know what to purchase? No problem! We can schedule a video call and I can walk you through exactly what to order for your home.
Time to relax and look forward to snuggling on the coach with your littles to remember that cool adventure you took in the mountains or at the lake or at one of those countless beautiful NW havens.
